Land+Shelter was founded in 2005 in Carbondale, Colorado to bring together a commitment to both the natural world (Land) and the built environment (Shelter). Our name ties these two words together, and so do we.

We’re a modern architecture studio that crafts custom architecture based on the site and the client. We have built a body of work over 20+ years that includes a stunning variety of project types and a nimble ability to listen deeply to the people who hire us. We are well known locally as a hardworking, reliable crew and an award-winning design team. Creating a beautiful built environment is a joy and a privilege, and we look forward to the next 20 years of doing what we love.

Land+Shelter took into account all of our programming needs from age five to seniors. They helped us make spaces that anyone can use covering the whole gamut of educational needs in our community.
